Sriracha and Koh Sichang
Cape+Kantary is a magazine that you will find in all the Cape and Kantary Properties - https://www.capekantaryhotels.com.
In this edition - https://www.capekantaryhotels.com/ckmagazine/Issue16/index.html - (Pages 74-77) one writer visited Kantary Bay in Sriracha and took a trip. Original words by Jim Algie.
Sriracha – “Only a two hour journey from Bangkok, in an area free of the usual tourist hordes, the Eastern seaboard beckons with outdoor adventures, picturesque islands, sites of spiritual significance and great food.”
This was their trip
Breakfast at Kantary Bay Sriracha - https://www.kantarycollection.com/kantarybay-sriracha/.
Khao Kheow Open Zoo - https://goo.gl/maps/tqjTbRTxSU32 - where the animals are in areas which are spacious and accommodating, ample photo opportunities – we did not try the Flying Fox - https://goo.gl/maps/BFfjTzhe1B72 - this time but maybe next time?
Take a lunch break in Sriracha – try the chicken roasted in earthenware jugs (gai op ong), usually found hanging by the side of the road, don’t forget the papaya salad and sticky rice!
Take a trip to Koh Sichang – just 40 minutes on the local ferry, followed by a tour of the island (try the 3-wheeled samlor – which is called a ‘Skylab’)
Then a coffee and a cake at the Somewhere Hotel - https://somewherehotel.com
Then a visit to the waterfront – the Asdang Pier - http://phrachudadhuj.com/chudad11.htm - and the Health Park - https://goo.gl/maps/qJKJdrsHguj
Then it was time to return and have dinner at Le Marin Mediterranean Restaurant - https://caperacha.com/lemarin.php.
